We were damn unlucky. Unlucky to not have come out of last night's game with a win that is! Despite a last minute reshuffle to the line up we still managed to field a full team. We were going to need it! Being the first game of the new season meant we could now concentrate on getting a fresh start. Our batting struggled but neither succeeded to come up on top nor did it fail. We walked away with 101 runs which is defendable at any time. Some big efforts by Langy and Rob turned their partnership around as it was beginning to head south.

Our fielding however was, despite being enthusiastic, lack lustre with a lot of missed opportunities which ultimately cost us the game. Stumped had turned on the fielding however in their stint with some freaky catches and deadly shots on stumps costing us on numerous occasions. End score was Blackout: 101 to Stumped: 104.
